There are 1,700 elderly people in our 3 counties living in poverty (11%)

An essential role of a Community Action Agency is representing interests of low-income constituents. NEOCAA does this by providing accurate and current information to decision makers on how policies, funding decisions and regulations can be improved. We also strive to educate the community on the needs of families with poverty incomes through presentations at service clubs, in high school and college classrooms, and as guest speakers at local, regional and national conferences.

Population, income and economic condition data regarding Adair, Cherokee, Craig, Delaware, Muskogee and Ottawa Counties and the state are contained in NEOCAA’s Community Assessment.
